Lisa McGraith

Lisa joined Spreng Thomson as Communications Director in 2021, leading on major accounts and strengthening the firm’s strategic and managerial capabilities. She is a highly experienced communications professional with over 20 years working in private, public and third sector.

Lisa has a background in the private sector, working with one of the UK’s largest PR companies for over eight years before moving into the public sector where she progressed to become the Director of Communications for Historic Scotland, one of the country’s largest government agencies. Managing a team of 20, Lisa led strategic communications and media, stakeholder engagement, digital, brand, filming and photography. She was part of the Senior Management Team and Board and worked closely with Cabinet Secretaries, Scottish Government officials and special advisers.

Lisa also led the communications for the international digital project, Scottish Ten, a joint venture between the Scottish Government, Glasgow School of Art and CyArk – American based cultural and technology organisation which involved establishing relationships in China, India, Japan, Australia and the USA to digitally record heritage sites as well as recording Scotland’s world heritage sites which received international profile and celebrated by the First Minister as Scotland leading the way in cultural diplomacy and innovation. Lisa has experience in non-executive roles having been on the Board at Care and Repair Edinburgh and currently on the Public Engagement Committee at an International Aid Organisation based in Glasgow.
