With 15 years’ experience as an HR professional, Barry is responsible for Spreng Thomson’s people. He manages its recruitment, people development, data protection (GDPR) and employment law compliance, allowing Spreng Thomson to flourish and develop safely.
Barry is motivated by ensuring Spreng Thomson attracts (and keeps) the best talent – and that the same care, attention and focus that Spreng Thomson gives its clients is replicated internally to its other clients: its people. Barry has held HR Manager posts with Scotland’s leading community arts organisation, Impact Arts, as well as being Personnel Officer with The Lighthouse – Scotland’s Centre for Architecture and Design. A graduate of Common Purposes leadership course, Meridian, Barry is a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development (CIPD). He is also an Industry Associate for the Cultural Enterprise Office.Back to Team
