Stagecoach West Scotland is on a mission to simplify bus travel for its customers by launching single and return tickets on the Stagecoach Bus App.
Customers in Ayrshire will be the first in the UK to pilot the scheme, the roll out from Monday 15th April 2024 will be limited to Irvine town services with a view to launch singles and return tickets across the UK.
Ease of use for both customers and drivers is at the heart of the pilot scheme. Stagecoach is encouraging customers to make the switch to the Stagecoach Bus App, to further reduce the environmental impact of paper tickets and speed up boarding times.
As well as being able to purchase multiple tickets on the Stagecoach Bus App, it brings with it a host of other benefits including planning journeys and tracking buses in real time.
The Stagecoach team will be hosting pop up events across Irvine and travelling on local bus services supporting customers with questions and promoting the benefits of app tickets and travel.
