Macfarlane Packaging strengthens management team

Macfarlane Packaging, the country’s largest protective packaging supplier, announces the strengthening of its management team with the appointment of Phil Rees as one of the company’s three Group Regional Directors.

Phil has extensive experience of the UK and European packaging markets and will join the company on 6th March, 2017 from Tri-Wall Europe, where he is currently Managing Director. Phil has also held several roles at packaging manufacturer, DS Smith.

The appointment follows a period of significant expansion for Macfarlane Packaging, which has made a number of acquisitions in the recent years and has also seen substantial organic growth.

Phil will join fellow Group Regional Directors, Adrian Cornwell and David Machin, and will be responsible for the company’s operations from its Regional Distribution Centres in Exeter, Bristol, Gloucester and Coventry.

Commenting on Phil’s appointment, Macfarlane Group’s Chief Executive, Peter Atkinson, said:
