 Board Changes

The Board of Macfarlane Group PLC today announces the appointment of Andrea Dunstan as a non-executive director with effect from 1 September 2018.

Andrea has significant experience in the fields of performance management, organisational development, strategy and change management across several sectors, notably distribution and 3rd party logistics (3PL) services. She was most recently Chief People Officer at Premier Farnell PLC. She is also an Executive Council member of Salford University.

As previously announced, Macfarlane Group’s Senior Independent Director, Mike Arrowsmith, had indicated his intention to step down from the Board of Directors. The Board now confirms that Mike will step down from the Board with effect from 31 August 2018.

Andrea will be appointed as Chair of Macfarlane Group’s Remuneration Committee immediately, replacing Bob McLellan, who will be appointed as Senior Independent Director with effect from 1 September 2018.

Stuart Paterson, Chairman of Macfarlane Group, said: “I am pleased to welcome Andrea to the Board of Macfarlane Group. I know that her extensive and highly relevant experience will prove to be a significant asset for the business.”

“On behalf of the Board, I would like to thank Mike for his dedicated service to Macfarlane Group over the last six years and for the contribution that he has made. He has been a valued member of the Board and we wish him continued success in the future.”

There are no other disclosures required under LR9.6.13 of the Listing Rules in relation to this appointment.
