Record Breaking Year for Scotland’s Leading Internship Programme
A record number of undergraduates are bidding to take part in Scotland’s top internship programme which will see students sent all over the world in 2018 to learn from the top business brains.
Entrepreneurial Scotland has received a record 1,242 applications for its 2018 Saltire Scholar Internship Programme – the highest number in the history of the programme.
In the 10th year of the programme, Entrepreneurial Scotland is celebrating a 35% increase in applications over the previous year (916 applications in 2017) guaranteeing they have top quality candidates from across Scotland for every internship project offered.
Scotland’s leading internship programme has grown significantly since it launched in 2007 with just six participants. In summer 2018 it is forecast to facilitate 185 internships between Scotland’s most talented students and leading organisations all over the world.

The Saltire Scholar Programme offers fully funded internship opportunities to penultimate year undergraduate students from Scottish universities. Saltire Scholar internships provide Scotland’s most talented individuals with the opportunity to work with leading organisations and work alongside global thought leaders, providing them with the experience required to establish their careers and create the next generation of business leaders for Scotland.
