The Port of Tilbury Police this week took charge of their new patrol vehicle – a Hyundai Santa Fe – which has gone into immediate service at the busy Essex port. The new vehicle is fully equipped with everything that is needed for an immediate response police vehicle including a tracker system to locate stolen cars.

Chief Police Officer, James Poulain took delivery of the vehicle this week from the team at Hyundai (see image*) who have their main UK car distribution hub located at the port.

Commenting on the new vehicle, James Poulain said: “This new Hyundai police vehicle allows us to provide a professional policing response within the Port of Tilbury and the surrounding area. It is fully fitted out for our rapid response needs and it has plenty of additional storage room to carry the extra equipment needed in the port to respond to a vast range of incidents. Our thanks go to the team at Hyundai for all their support in getting this vehicle ready for service”.
