Loch Duart Salmon brings Scottish luxury goods chief on board
Loch Duart, the independent salmon farming company based in Sutherland and the Hebrides, has appointed Ian Laird to its Board as a Non-Executive Director. Ian is Managing Director of Ayrshire-based Alex Begg, world leaders in the design and manufacture of woven accessories, producing the world’s finest cashmere products.
Ian has a passion for products and brands like Loch Duart Salmon, which have attained global recognition and are asked for by name. Alex Begg counts luxury fashion brands such as Ralph Lauren and Vivienne Westwood among its clients in addition to leading luxury retailers such as Berdorf Goodman in New York and Wako in Tokyo.

Ian has also brought his extensive experience to the Scottish Manufacturing Advisory Board (SMAS) as a past Board member, as a member of the Scottish Textiles Leadership Group and as Chair of the Scottish Textiles Skills Partnership.
