Caledonia Housing Association Group has launched its business plan for 2024-2025.

The annual plan, which aligns to Caledonia’s five-year strategic plan for 2024-2029, details the priorities for the housing association including customer service improvements, climate change, asset and development, and business improvement.

As one of Scotland’s largest registered social landlords, Caledonia has over 185 staff working across eight local authorities. It provides over 5,600 high quality social rented homes and a wide range of customer focused services alongside factoring services for over 2,300 homeowners across Perth and Kinross, Dundee, Angus, Fife, Highlands, West & East Dunbartonshire and North Lanarkshire.

Throughout 2023-2024 Caledonia Group delivered a high standard of housing services, providing new affordable and energy efficient rented homes while continuing to support tenants with the cost-of-living crisis. Building on the success of the last year, Caledonia is now set to focus on delivering its first Net Zero Strategy, continuing to increase the supply of new social housing, along with a £6m investment programme in existing homes to improve energy efficiency and reduce household costs.  Caledonia also aims to strengthen engagement with tenants and enhance service delivery through the development of localised plans informed by tenant feedback which support people, families and communities.

Julie Cosgrove, Chief Executive, said: “Providing homes and services that make life better is our core purpose at Caledonia. Our staff work tirelessly to deliver for our tenants and we are proud to have achieved a great deal in the last financial year despite an increasingly difficult economic environment. For the year ahead our strategic objectives focus on strong governance and continuous improvement across customer service, underpinned by the ongoing digitalisation of processes and robust data management.  To achieve this we recognise the need to develop our people, and demonstrate value for money. There are two further key objectives which we have been working hard to embed across all of our activities, climate change and sustainability, and equality, diversity and inclusion. We understand that all of these impact directly on our tenants, colleagues and partners across Scotland.

“Caledonia was named in the top 25 UK housing associations to work for and recognised as the best placed Scottish landlord in 2023. This recognition, voted for by staff, is testament to the culture at Caledonia as we prioritise developing our people and continually developing and improving wherever we can to meet the needs and preferences of our tenants and service users.”
