Forth Ports

How communications is helping a major UK logistics business grow.

Image

Forth Ports is one of the largest port group in the UK, operating eight strategically located ports across the country, including the Port of Grangemouth and London’s major port, the Port of Tilbury. Each of these ports facilitates fast and efficient import and export of raw goods and finished products, operate as logistical bases for major construction projects across the country, and are key hubs for a host of industries, from renewable energy to agriculture and manufacturing.

We provide strategic support in shaping Forth Ports’ media relations approach, identifying key proactive content opportunities, and ensuring that the key messages cut through.

Project

The challenge

Support Forth Ports’ media relations by identifying key proactive content opportunities, detailing stories of the crucial work undertaken by teams across the group’s eight ports.

Approach

How we used creativity to design the right response

With the work of the ports more important than ever to the continued flow of goods into and out of the UK throughout the Covid-19 crisis, we identified key media opportunities and supported production of video content showing the vital work of the ports’ key workers.

At a busy time for Forth Ports, we facilitated and supported multiple broadcast media appearances featuring group CEO Charles Hammond, as he discussed the incredible work of the port team in responding to the exceptional circumstances brought on by the crisis, and to announce the long awaited opening of Tilbury 2 -  the newest and largest ro-ro freight terminal in the UK.
